Observed AI discovery
Search-enabled APIs from OpenAI, Anthropic, Perplexity and Google are tested with buyer questions. These API surfaces can differ from ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Gemini consumer apps. Provider, model, mode, prompt, timestamp, response and citations stay with each observation.
A full audit asks each platform 32 buyer questions, asks 12 of them a second time to check consistency, and asks 3 questions about your business: 47 answers per platform, 188 in all. The first twelve unbranded questions form a fixed baseline that alone feeds the score, so audits stay comparable; the illustrative sample uses that baseline only. The composite is withheld when the baseline is incomplete. Missing data is not zero.
The baseline diagnostic combines presence, prominence, recommendation language and citation signals. It is a heuristic of the sampled responses, not a ranking published by any platform or a market-share estimate. Exact answers should be reviewed alongside the number.
Google search and business data
Search Console reports available Google Web Search data and indexed URL status. GA4 reports configured events and identifiable referral sessions. We do not infer exact AI attribution, verified leads or revenue from a visibility score.
Google AI Overviews are recorded as separate, source-linked observations by a reviewer. Gemini API output is never presented as Google AI Overview evidence.
